The ultimate weekend treat, chokladbollar. In English something like chocolate-date-coconut balls. Some Swedes may be upset when I say this, but these tastes as good as delicatobollen.. The only difference is that they contain no refined sugar or other additives. Keep them in the fridge and you have something very nice to come home to. I’ve tried a ton of recipes trying to get the perfect taste, and finally, here you go! And yes they are vegan friendly.
Chocolate-date-coconut balls

Ingredients
- 18 dates
- 3 dl oats
- 1/2 dl coconut oil
- 1/2 dl coconut/oat milk
- 2-3 tbsp cacao powder
- 3-4 tbsp brewed coffee
- 1-2 tsp flake salt
- 1 tbsp cacao nibs
- Shredded coconut
Directions
- Step 1
- Start by mixing the dates, coconut oil and coconut or oat milk in a mixer.
- Step 2
- Add the oats, coffee, cacao powder, and salt and mix some more. Add the cacao nibs at the end.
- Step 3
- Let the dough rest in the fridge for an hour, it’s not mandatory but it will ease the rolling a lot.
- Step 4
- Take out and form small balls and swirl them in shredded coconut.
- Step 5
- Keep int the fridge and grab one when Mr. Sweet tooth knocks in the door.
