Good morning. I’ve promised this recipe already a while ago, but if you wait for something good… This blue cheese, pear, figs crumble bake is the perfect match to Saturday wine. I know gingerbread is not in season at the moment but in my opinion, they go too well together with blue cheese not to be eaten all year round. Here comes the recipe for the blue cheese crumble.

Blue cheese crumble

Ingredients
- Crumble:
- 4 pears
- 4 figs
- 1 pack blue cheese
- 15 crushed gingerbread
- 2 tbsp almond flour
- 2-3 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Pinch of salt
- Handful of chopped almonds
- Handful of chopped walnuts
- +
- Toppings:
- 2 dl Turkish yogurt
- Maple syrup
- Cinnamon
Directions
- Step 1
- Heat the oven to 200°C.
- Step 2
- Slice the pears and figs and place them on an oven pan.
- Step 3
- Crumble over blue cheese. In a bowl, mix together crushed gingerbread, almond flour (or regular), maple syrup, butter, salt, and the chopped nuts.
- Step 4
- Mix into a crumble and place it on top of the fruits and cheese.
- Step 5
- Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, the cheese should be melted and the crumble crunchy.
- Step 6
- Let it cool a bit.
- Step 7
- Serve with cinnamon Turkish yogurt and top with fresh figs.
- Step 8
- Enjoy with a glass of red wine.
