This may look like nothing to you, but it’s actually one of my fave weekday dishes. Not even sure what the correct name is in English but my best guess is cabbage stew? It’s a very common dish in Finland, here’s my best recipe.
Hope you like it,

- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- White pepper
- Onion powder
- Salt & Pepper
- Butter
- 1 dl frozen lingonberries
Directions

- Step 2
- Boil some salted water.
- Step 3
- Chop the cabbage, onion, and garlic into small pieces.
- Step 4
- Boil the cabbage in water for a few minutes, just in and out so they soften a little.
- Step 5
- Fry the onion and garlic in a pan in some butter until golden and add the meat, fry until it’s cooked.
- Step 6
- Add the spices to the meat + 2 tbsp of the broth.
- Step 7
- Add 2 tbsp of broth to the cabbage and mix the cabbage with the meat and place it in an ovenproof pan.
- Step 8
- Bake in the oven for about 20-30 min.
- Step 9
- Melt the lingonberries, mash them a bit and eat with the stew.
