I must say I love this health wave that took over a few years ago, forcing people to try new things and get more creative in their food department. A decade ago nobody (sane) would have suggested roasted chickpeas instead of chips as a snack. Today, nobody raises their eyebrow when I bring these to the movie snack table.
Chickpea snacks

Ingredients
- 1 can soaked chickpeas
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp sweet pepper spice
- 1 tsp Berbere spice Santa Maria
- Olive oil
- Salt & Pepper
Directions
- Step 1
- Heat the oven to 200°C.
- Step 2
- Rinse the chickpeas in water properly.
- Step 3
- Place in a bowl and add all the spices and oil and swirl around.
- Step 4
- Place on a pan and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, the longer you have them the ‘crunchier’ they get.
